I'd rather have sparkly pink ones anyway.

I always wanted a pair of ruby slippers. Came close once, same style but more maroon.

See - I've been good and not posted in this thread for over 3 months so you didn't get too fed up with Rufus... Grin  Roll Eyes

...but...

...this Sunday I'll be going to see him do his Judy Garland tribute show at the Palladium.  Fabulous darlings.

For weeks I've been calm but all of a sudden I'm getting excited.  Smiley

I've got butterflies in my stomach and I can't concentrate on doing anything else...

Omigod - I've just got back from the Palladium and it was totally amazing.  What a great show.

We had so much fun celeb spotting as well.

I thought Rufus would be the one to make me cry...but no...it was Martha singing 'Someone To Watch Over You' that did it for me!!

Dead strict about cameras etc - almost got mine confiscated!

I'll tell you all the celebs we saw tomorrow - all the luvvies!

I know I'm replying to myself here but I'm on such a high after last night... Grin Grin

I've just listed some of the celebs I spotted on the famous people thread - that really made it even more fun.

Any Rufus fans on here will no doubt check out his board for all the reports.  I'd just like to say that it was a fantastic evening - a triumph for Rufus - a truly wonderful, memorable and emotional show - a totally different beast compared to the likes of a Del Amitri or Justin Currie gig, but something special to remember.

Jeez - I'm so hyper I'll never get any work done today!!

I felt that way after watching just his All I Want DVD.  Might not come down for days if I was ever present at a complete concert.   Wink

Would it have been possible for last night to have been shit Chrissie? Critical faculties seem to go out the window when it comes to this mumbling thingy.

Tongue It could have been very possible seeing as he lost his voice at the Paris show and couldn't complete some of the songs.

He's not always perfect (who is).  Sometimes he forgets the words and messes around too much.  At times it's charming and endearing but there have been times when I've found it a bit cringeworthy.

I still think he's fantastic though!....and Sunday was really good.  I went with a mate who was a non-Rufus fan and she loved it and was cheering along with the rest of us during the standing ovations.  Grin Grin

He sure is gorgeous. I Like Loudon's music better though even if it was wierd. He was also amusing in concert.

Tell me if I get to blabbing too much please.

I think this board is keeping me semi-sane which is a frighteningly horrible thought.
