Dels Albums remasters?

Hello All,
Are there any plans on remastering all of the dels albums? A remastered album with the all of the B-sides on a separate disc would be the ultimate collection.

I doubt anyone here would know if there were plans, but they weren't an especially successful band and they didn't have the critical cache to make it an artistic endeavour.

I can't see Universal spending the large amount of money to do a remaster for a band that don't exist anymore, weren't that big and don't receive articles in the serious rock press about their classic, forgotten albums (cause all of them have serious problem with quality control).

Also, no chance of them selling the rights to Justin & co.  They buy up artists' catalogues simply to have it - then do nothing with it.  My beloved The God Machine are in the same boat.  Robin would love to reissue the two albums with live tracks and new packaging but Universal want half a million for the rights.  For a pair of albums that probably sold no more than 20,000 copies together.

Bastards.

They did remaster their 1st album.

I agree with some of what David said but then he does per normal go on and talk aload of bollocks.

To say the dels were not successful is just plain daft.

Let's revist what I said, you spastic:  Not "especially" successful.  Which they weren't.

1992 "Always the Last to Know" #30 #11 #18 #13
1992 "Be My Downfall" - - - #30
1992 "Just Like a Man" - - - #25
1993 "When You Were Young" - - - #20
1995 "Here and Now" - - - #21
1995 "Driving with the Brakes On" - - - #18
1995 "Roll to Me" #10 - - #22
1995 "Tell Her This" - - - #32
1997 "Not Where It's At" - - - #21

You're not smart enough to argue the semantics of this, Joe, because you're a retard.

You've just underlined my point: they achieved a level of success but nothing spectacular.  Hence, not especially successful.  Alright, but nothing special.

You should be quiet, you're just showing yourself up.  As usual.

Well it looks like my understanding of the word "successful" is different to yours.

You could only dream of not being "especially successful" with your band like Del Amitri were.

They had hits all over Europe and the UK and the US. They toured the world many times over. Justin does not have to work due to not being "especially successful"

There are many traits I hate but I think the worst is envy and every post you make it simply pours out of you.

Everybody can see it.

Of course they never sold the records that U2 or REM did but what does that mean? The Sun outsells The Independent every day but does that make it a better paper?

I might be a retard, but it beats being a educated idiot.

Well, envious as I am, It was pretty crappity smacking stupid buying their records, spending hundreds of pounds seeing them (and Justin) live and exchanging emails with the guy.

You

seem

to

miss

the

point

* This topic is about remastered albums
* I stated they were not successful enough to justify that expense

These are facts.  Your reply, as ever, is you trying to raise whatever mistaken, stupid and judgemental opinion you have of me in public.  So let's recap, then leave it alone.

I have full respect for people who make any sort of music career, whether I like them or not.  I certainly don't envy someone for making music that has given me so much enjoyment since I was 16.

I can recognise that I missed my own opportunities (and I had them) through laziness and lack of commitment from my bandmates, but hey - I love music.  I love making it and I love performing it - income or not.  I've a good job, I'm writing for a living, I get involved with lots of fun creative things and have a great time.

What the crappity smack would I have to be envious of - I'm living a good life.

You seem insecure about anyone that seems self-assured, because you clearly aren't.  it simply pours out of you.

Everybody can see it.

And, as a matter of course, in terms of writing quality, The Sun shits all over the Independent.  I don't like the content, but the journalists are the best in the business.

Envy is a terrible thing, it can really eat away at a person.

The funniest part of your last post was how you could of become somebody instead of a nobody and the reason for this is due to other people holding you back and being lazy.

That is classic you, everybody get its wrong but oh no, not the Prince of Falkirk.

David, its about time you start taking responsibility for yourself and stop blaming the world and his brother that the cards are stacked against you, nobody can change things apart from you.

Anybody who goes to the lengths you do in informing everybody how great they are and how wonderful they are doing are clearly not. Its the classic signs of over compensating.

Look if you want to email me privately I'm willing to help you, I really am. You need help buddy and this gripe against the world will end in tears for you the same way it did for somebody like Mark Chapman.

Anger turns to hate, hate turns to despair and despair is a road you really don't want to walk down.

Let it out, you are loved, I don't know by who but you are loved.

Come here....Gimme a hug.

You really are stretching, Joe.  I'm happy with my life, I don't need anyone else's opinion to validate that and certainly not yours.

Of course you do.  You know everybody intimately.  We can't hide from your insight as carried out across the forums of a defunct band.

Well done, internet warrior.

I would.  That's not what we're talking about: I'm saying it won't happen for the above stated reasons, not that I don't think it's worthwhile.

Do you have trouble with simple comprehension, Joe?
