Is there anybody out there???  Cry
Well, people, I had the chance of going to two of Justin's shows on his february UK tour and I just can say that he gets better and better with every show! In case someone hasn't seen him lately, his solo performances are truly brilliant. There were lots of requests from people in the audience and the new songs are great (his new album will be out next September, it seems).
I loved both concerts (seated venues as in the rest of the tour) though they were quite different.
My first one was Bridport: a really weird venue, an old worn-out theatre on a freezing night. The sound was good but the rows of seats were placed too far from the stage and made the connection with the audience a bit awkward. The highlights for me were the new song "Half of Me" and finally listening live "Kiss This Thing Goodbye". Justin was lucky to have the wonderful accompaniment of Julian Dawson, the harmonica player who played originally the song in Waking Hours!!! I'll put up a video on youtube with the performance which was really great!!
My second and last show was Bath: the Komedia, a lovely seated venue with an amazing sound, and the best performance of Justin I've seen so far. He felt relaxed and seemed to enjoy the show, the setlist was unbeliavable and ended up in the best possible way for me... with "Drowned on Dry Land"!!!!!!! Not just a wee bit but a longer version (not complete, but it seems that he had been learning the long forgotten lyrics). I felt deeply moved and truly convinced that I'll never get tired of listening to his music. Best show ever, truly!

So for the moment here's the link to "Be My Downfall" & "Drowned on Dry Land". Enjoy!!  Wink

Hi Cris

Thanks for that.

You can tell how things have changed when I was looking for a 'like' button for your Bath post.  Smiley

Anyway - HUGE 'LIKE' for your reviews and videos...I'm so jealous to have missed hearing Drowned live (I've been requesting that from him for years....hopefully he'll do it again if he tours in the autumn),

Justin, there's a great venue in Colchester you could come to - Colchester Arts Centre. Your mate Tom McRae plays there. It's a lovely old church with good acoustics (and it's right on my doorstep!!). Please check it out when you're fixing up your next tour!!  Smiley Cool
