Triple Door, Seattle

Apologies if this is posted elsewhere but I couldn't see it anywhere.  Just been looking at Justin's MySpace and it would appear tonights gig in Seattle (or early tomorrow morning's gig for some!) is being broadcast live on the net.

The website link suggests it's 7.30pm pacific time, so 10.30pm eastern and 3.30am in the UK, although 7.30pm sounds a bit early in the evening for a gig to start.  Having said that, the link I posted now doesn't work -was working about half an hour ago  Angry

Is anyone going to be taping/downloading/whatever this?

And don't be asking me to - haven't a clue how it all works.

The Triple Door is a dinner theater ... 7:30 is the usual start time for the shows that happen there ... it all just depends on whether he's got an opening act. I just called the place and there will not be an opening act. 7:30 it is.

Good news: unlike Joe's Pub (in New York City) and other dinner theaters, nobody will run him off the stage after a set time, so it should be a good show with a proper encore.

The site is working - have just checked it out and it looks like I can expand it to fit my whole computer screen which is fabulous. Am going to start rounding up my drinks, find a tall neighbour to block part of my view, put on my No Surrender t-shirt in Celtic green and sit back and enjoy. 2 hours, 4 minutes and counting down.....

I am also going to yell requests!!!

I can't get the site to complete loading now - gets stuck "Loading 34%" - must be loads of Justin fans swamping the server.

The site said something about the show only being an hour - maybe they are only showing the first hour  of it but I sincerely hope I am wrong..... this is fabulous... makes up for the fact that I couldn't be there - well not completely but somewhat.

I love that he played It Might As Well Be You.... Actually the whole thing was great.  I converted another friend - called me after demanding to know what certain songs were and how to get his cd.... hahahaha

I also got hooked to the live show... the sound was perfect!! And the setlist was amazing... Played some favourites from Del Amitri that I've never heard him do live: "What I think she sees", a nice try at "It might as well be you", and "No family man" (said nobody requested that to him)... It was a good show though it didn't seem that people were requesting that much so they ended up with "Sleep instead of Teardrops"... It was so good!!!
Dave, did you get to work on time?

Shit. I've missed it.

BUT ANDY MANY THANKS TO YOU !

I'm completely overwhelmed by the sound of it, the best live recordings ever.
love Something in that mess.
actually I love all songs Smiley it's a pity he didn't remember It might as well be you,
the beginning was breathtaking
This side of the morning is marvellous too.

now I wonder what did he play in the first 20 minutes.
will this show be unavailable or will there be a possibility to watch it again?

If you compare what is on the stream to the Denver show he followed the exact same set list.

Hey, Dave! Yeah, it was really good!!! And it was fun to chat with the other fans who were registered on-line (though I have to say that it distracted my attention a bit). For those who were not registered we talked to the lighting guy at the club who was also in charge of the video broadcasting the concert and we made some requests for him to shout them to Justin at the end of the show... Chiding Moon was our request but unfortunately he couldn't get close to the stage on time to ask!!  Wink
Dave, I sent you a pm...

Well I finally got round to watching this on Myspace tonight - Driving with the Brakes On just finished - and it's great to watch in the privacy of your own home...like a personal gig!

I've been singing along without worrying about upsetting folk round about me and enjoying it all.

It doesn't beat the real feeling of actually being there at a live show but it's great anyway.  It took a bit of getting used to the sound of the audience eating their dinner in the background.

'Aint technology fantastic when you can get this streaming on the net!   Smiley

...except it's just gone and crashed on me and I can't get it back!!!  dammit.
