I´m absolutely haaaaappy to read this but I´m also really confused... remember the Sctosman interview in January when he was asked if he would go solo??!!: Here is the answer:

Would you consider going solo? I don't really want to. If I had to I would. But I'm fairly dubious about people who have been in bands all their lives doing the solo thing. It never seems to work and I've never really considered myself a solo artist. I've been a singer in a band since I was 15. But we're not really thinking about making a Del Amitri record at the moment. But if the question is 'what do you do when the money runs out?', the answer is probably work in a pub. The royalties will eventually run out and don't have any ambitions other than writing songs and singing them.

Has he prepared the solo album afterwards?? Did he change his mind about it?? Maybe he reminded his old "and before you go out... change everything"..

Anyway the news is great!!! I´ll buy both albums for sure!!!
