Jon joined Del Amitri in early 1996, after the Twisted tour had ended, as a replacement for David Cummings, a longtime band member who had decided to move into television. He left soon after the recording of Some Other Sucker’s Parade, in 1997, recorded some tracks on Eileen Rose’s CD, “Shine Like It Does”. He recently passed away in March of 2005, at the age of 42, from complications from diabetes.
